Sister 05:02
Frayed rope, frayed hope, unwinding, unraveling, unraveling... Frayed rope, frayed hope, unwinding, unraveling. Old bones, old homes decaying, unraveling. Pull the floorboards from our feet. Bury the body underneath. A loss denied. Tear down the roof over our heads. Will we pronounce it as dead? A bind untied. Let it go. Unclean, unseen. It’s nothing. It’s everything. I believe... Help thou my unbelief. It’s deafening. Pull the pages from the book. Replace the name, misunderstood. A life denied. Lay the burden at their feet. Cover the body with a sheet. A mind untied. Let it go. Devil or Saint, what is the truth? Devil or Saint, which one are you?

Lampshade 05:39
It doesn’t let you sleep. It doesn’t let you keep your head up. It deadens all your glow like a lampshade draped around a bulb. It happens in threes. Brought down to your knees again. Still trying to let go. (Marked blemished from the start) Still refuse to losen up your hold. (So what’s the point?) Repeat the same mistakes. (Already pulled apart by the intent) Apathetic towards the ruin left in your wake. (and the fall you can’t prevent) It happens in threes. Brought down to your knees again. You’re digging a grave. Been digging for days and days. It happened so long ago. Why does it still haunt me so? Why does it still have such a hold? It happened so long ago.

I know I’m not exactly who you wanted me to be, but the plan laid out before was made for me, created before I could even speak, or breathe. The Father doesn’t seem to care. Vain repetitions fill the air. Blot out your name and “x” it out. Ring the bell, close the book, I am done. You’re tired of that cross. You wish you could lay it down, but it is yours to bear. Or let it drag you down. The gates are closed, never to be opened up again. With all my practiced sainthood wearing thin, all my pleading never made a sound. It’s a burial ground. Blot out your name and “x” it out. Ring the bell, close the book, I am done. You’re tired of that cross. You wish you could lay it down, but it is yours to bear. Or let it drag you down. But the candle can’t be snuffed out.

This blood is not your own, this kingdom not your home. Peer through the adder stone. You’re never quite alone. Bury yourself underground. Adorned with your cross and crown. Your cross rusted and worn. Your crown, a crown of thorns. A piteous thing to morn. Your pity left me torn. Bury yourself underground. Adorned with your cross and crown. Bury your name with a shroud, deep where the truth can’t be found Three days inside a tomb. The body rises soon.

Devil 04:40
Halo hanging heavy overhead. Devil waiting heavy in the bed. Cast low, casting stones to raise the dead. “Hollow, cold, and broken,” Devil said, “this is how I prefer you.” Wait for the night to come and cover up the day. Wait for the Son to rise and give another name. Boundless, though unbound I cannot heal. Worthless, wanting nothing, under will. Possess, never was an easy kill. Confess, open wide the Seventh Seal. Wait for the night to come and cover up the day. Wait for the Son to rise and give another name. Fear that the day will only bring more of the same. Wait til the Devil comes to stake another claim.

Bending, broken key on a broken keyring. Arching, angling away from everything. Cover up, pacify to soothe the ache. Had enough, coming down. Freezing, crystal lips on a cold cadaver. Ending, curtain close on a morning after. Stitch it up, routine surgery again. Burn it up, temporary fix. I can’t bring myself to let you, so let me go.
8.
These hands are mine. These hands are tied. These hands are lined with lives unlived. Whose face is this? Whose hand to kiss? One more to miss and misplace over time. See how the Father lies? See how the Mother cries? Wait til the Sprit hides. Open you eyes. Forgotten one, forget the Son. Forget and run while you still can. The hand of God, an iron rod. The hand withdrawn to feed another biting mouth. See how the Father lies? See how the Mother cries? Wait til the Spirit hides. Open your eyes. See how the Father lies? See how the Mother cries? Watch as the Spirit dies. Open your eyes.

Day glow, twilight hour. Move slow, dried up flower. Apathy hangs like a lampshade. Let go. Let go... Same blood, felt it change. Old love, watched it break. Apogee passed before its time. Undone. Undone. All gone, the sun. Its not your fault. Its not my fault. Its not your fault, so whose fault is it anyway? Hallowed, Saint of Disrepair. Devil, my cross to bear. Martyrdom cuts like a dagger, a severed pair. What remains hangs like dust in the air. Its not your fault, its not my fault. Its not your fault, so whose fault is it anyway? Slipped into the night after day. Sunlight was never meant to stay.

Father, take me now back to your side. Father, take me now back to the light. I’ve been waiting so long, wasting alive. Old friend I know so well, my flag is white. Brother, where are you? I am alone. Brother, where are you? I can’t find home. Lead me somewhere, anywhere but here. Mother, please don’t go, you gave the most. Shoulder to wheel, I pushed along. I did the work, heart full of song. I paid the debt with blood, in vain. The streams of mercy never came. So take my heart and seal it in a grave. Will it rise again? Devil, make me clean, help me atone. Devil, I know Hell must feel so alone. Breathe some life into tired old bones. Lover, somehow you still feel like home. Shoulder to wheel, I pushed along. I did the work, heart full of song. I paid the debt with blood and pain. Take it, seal it in a grave.
